  1. A great quote, but what a sad picture. The two could still be brothers. Kiev has once been the cradle of Russia, and now it’s the home of so much hate against everything Russian. How terrible. What evil powers have bewitched you, poor Kiev, to follow the path of self-destruction? You don’t know yourself, and you don’t know who is your real enemy, and even your “victories” will be your curse.

  2. Knowing the enemy is overcoming the enemy. But really getting to know who or what, the real enemy is, that’s the trick isn’t it? We can sense and know our own demons, our personal destructive forces but to know the enemy is to understand the source of those murderous forces. To use an analogy, you can waylay and kill a Wermacht soldier or an SS agent on your conquered soil, but from there to confronting and destroying Hitler is a long haul. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and authorities and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms…”

    • That’s it, you got it. It’s not what we do but what “He” does. I believe we should know who the enemy is so that it has a name. Once named pray that “He” moves in the way that is “His” will, to combat this said enemy. Without a name nothing can be conquered.
