The most important thing one can do in overcoming “Greed” is the ability to cultivate and understand the events that happen from moment to moment. If each of us can learn to enjoy and find meaning in the ongoing stream of life.
It’s being filled with the experiences of life, being unburdened to the demands of society itself. Greed is born from the eye becoming distracted from the true beauty and simplicity of life. Ill-gotten wealth and greed are like stones hung over the soul, weighing it down. The soul becomes a slave to greed.
True wealth comes when we release this greed into the hands of an all-knowing and loving power of an all consuming God. He places within us a joy that is unfettered from the lust of greed. This releases us to be true servants and not slaves.
